Dear Blog

I've met someone....
He can sing, he cooks me breakfast, and he shares a passion for the great outdoors.

I'm sold for now...

Until then. Hmmmmmmmmm

I re-watched "stealing beauty" tonight starring liv tyler. I vaguely remember watching that movie a long, long time ago when I was in high school.

I wrote the same verse she wrote in her diary,in my diary as well.

"I wait I wait so patiently I'm as quiet as a cup I hope you'll come and rattle me Quick! Come wake me up. "

The movie is filled with lost innocence about a girl who comes to stay with family on a farm in beautiful Tuscany after her poet mother commits suicide.

The main thrust of the movie are the attempts of the lead character, Lucy Harmon (Liv Tyler), to lose her virginity. At age 19, she's never slept with a man -- a revelation that causes a great stir among the residents of the Tuscany villa where she is spending the summer. Everyone is sympathetic with her situation, and they begin to consider who might best be able to accommodate her.

This movie makes you uncomfortable at times, yet you can't take your eyes off of it. You relate to Lucy with your own events of becoming a woman. Sympathizing with her.

I thoroughly recommend it

Stealing Beauty

I wait I wait so patiently

I'm as quiet as a cup

I hope you'll come and rattle me

Quick!

Come wake me up.

Bob Dylan, The Times They Are A-Changin'

Come gather round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters Around you have grown
And accept it that soon Youll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you Is worth savin
Then you better start swimmin
or youll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance wont come again
And dont speak too soon
For the wheels still in spin
And theres no tellin who
That its namin.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Dont stand in the doorway
Dont block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
Theres a battle outside
And it is ragin.
Itll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And dont criticize
What you cant understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin.
Please get out of the new one
If you cant lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order isRapidly fadin
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin.
